This new site will hopefully provide you with readily available information about your health as well as what’s going on with us.  Please take a look around the new site.  Parents, have your children visit our Kid’s Page to address worries about their visit to the doctor.  Also please check out:

We will use all our skills and knowledge to give the children under our care the highest standard of medical attention. We care for children and young adults from birth to age 18. Although we strive to be the best we can, we know that costs are always a primary concern for young families.  Therefore we try to keep expenses to a minimum for our patients.

Preventive care is an integral part of pediatric practice. Many physical and psychological problems can be prevented by regular, periodic health care visits. These are referred to as "well child care" or "preventive visits."

At these visits, your child receives a thorough physical examination. You and your child have time to ask and receive complete answers to your questions about your child's health, growth, and development. Dr. Stewart, Susan and Catherine will provide advice and counseling regarding important child rearing issues such as toilet training, selection of appropriate toys,  school problems and puberty. You will begin to learn to recognize and manage many minor illnesses at home. These well visits should help you take an active role in your child's health care.

Acute illnesses are seen the same day of the illness.  Please call the office for an appointment unless urgent care is needed. If  you feel your child is in distress, please let us know during your call or if your arrive without an appointment, please let us know upon arrival.

On weekends and after hours, Dr. Stewart rotates a call schedule with other pediatricians in the area. The answering service, which can be reached by dialing our main line number at  864-882-7800. They will give you information about which doctor is on call and how to get in touch with them. As always, if you feel your call is of an urgent nature, please let our answering service know so that they may properly handle your call.

Our medical staff is always available for telephone calls. After hours the answering service will help you contact the doctor on call. During office hours our courteous, trained staff will assist you. When leaving a call for one of our nurses, please let the front office staff know if your call is of an urgent nature so that your call can be handled properly. Other wise, one of our nurses will return your call as soon as possible. Our patients’ health is of the utmost importance.

We participate with most insurance plans and with South Carolina Medicaid.  Please contact us to ensure that we will be able to work with your insurance provider.
